Weekend Window Flea Market Ahmedabad was organized at YMCA Club, SG Road. It is Gujarat’s biggest flea market. Amazing shopping from more than 100 pop up stalls, titillating food stalls, grooving music, mind blowing stand up comedy acts, creative workshops, interactive activities, art exhibit and some very intricate installations.
The flea market resembles a fair with choc-a- block streets. Living heritage called “Gujri Baazar”, Ahmedabad’s oldest market, Ravivari, is also called “Ravivari Baazar” a unique flea market started almost 600 years back by Sultan Ahmed Shah, the founder of Ahmedabad.
Flea markets in modern time is a unique concept to showcase your creativity to all shopping enthu / shop-o-holic crowd. The Sunday market has everything from a needle to spear. In furniture you can spot chairs, tables, computer tables and cots lined up one after another on the sides of the streets. Old and second hand jeans, skirts and sarees are strewn over cots though they aren’t too attractive to look at. That apart, you will find electronic items, computer parts and other gadgets here. Make sure to visit this flea market in the morning as by noon the entire area becomes overcrowded.
Apart from gorgeous clothes and accessories, especially earrings, you can also find great bargains on home decor stuff such as lampshades, curios and antiques. If designer stuff is your calling, there are a number of options for that as well.
