Review of You Broadband Internet Connection in Ahmedabad – WORST ISP – BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am reviewing You Broadband of Ahmedabad – You Telecom. Let me just tell you in brief before i write the facts about the company.

If you’re just a home user with hardly 1 or 2 hours of internet usage in your 24 hours of life, then this company You Broadband is just OK but if you need a constant internet connectivity with almost above 10 – 12 hours a day, this internet company is really bad, worse and the worst. Do not ever subscribe to their connection. It is working fine only till it works and if they are not in a good mood, it just does not work for hours and days! It is that bad. Hope you understand from this short description.

Let me now, focus on everything what i have gone through. I was using a TATA VSNL Internet connection (wired line for 2 years and Wi-Max wireless connection for almost 7 years) and till one day, i have received their email stating that they are winding up this business and our internet connection would be terminating on 31 July 2015. It was working so well that i could not even need any back up internet connection but now i am on a hunt of a good internet company in Ahmedabad again. Before i opted in for TATA internet, i was using ICENET internet connection (almost 10 years ago, 2003 – 2006) and that was a wired line monster.

I inquired most of the top providers and they all refused by mentioning about non-feasibility. I had no option but to either go with BSNL internet connection or this You Broadband internet connection in my Thaltej area of Ahmedabad. I have called them up and they sent me an executive to explain their You Broadband internet plans with prices. He shown plans and told me that i have to pay Rs 1000 as refundable deposit and Rs 325 as non-refundable installation charge (if i opt in for 3 months plan by paying in advance) and Rs 2419 as 1 mbps You Jaguar plan charge for 3 months. I paid in advance Rs 3680 and he said that your connection will start working in 3-4 days. Next day, 2-3 people came with wire and given me a cable line to my room. They said that now a technician will come tomorrow and start your connection. He came and started a connection but as he was just 1 month recruited, he could not get through with my Wi-Fi router which then i had to do myself next day morning.

It was just 3 days and it stopped working. I called on their call center number (079-33772125 / 079-66214940) but none of them worked. I visited their office (Sarthik Building 2ND Floor, Near Fun Republic, Ramdevnagar, Ahmedabad – 380015) in morning 11:30am and there were other few people standing and quarreling for disconnection and refund etc. I mentioned my problem and they said that now if you want to quit, you can but refund is not possible as we don’t have policy to give refund to prepaid connection customers! I was shocked. I said that when your executive came, i asked the same and he agreed. They said that he might have spoken but it is not true! You have to use it for 3 months now. I said that i am ready to use if it keeps working. It stops just anytime, how can i use! But, all in vain. They started after 6-7 hours and again stopped next day 🙂 If you ask for reasons, they are always ready with answers (excuses) be it either rain, or cable cut, or power failure and if there is no nothing else then their technicians are always upgrading some or other things and that is why their internet is always down! its just so funny, that Government of India (Mr Narendra Modi) is approaching towards Digital India campaign but internet companies (ISP) of Gujarat itself are still not able to provide 24 x 7 internet even after charging us for 24 x 7 connection! How can, India be digital with such a “always down” kind of internet connections!

You Broadband internet company in Ahmedabad is kind of a cheater. They take money for their product (which is Internet) but do not provide 24 x 7 internet and that means what you’re charging is for full product and yet not giving us the full. That means, you are doing fraud. If we pay for 24 x 7, we must get 24 x 7 internet. Their speed also keep fluctuating. They provide 1 mbps connection but we never get speed of 1 mbps then what is a purpose of selling a product on a name of 1 mbps plan? They must sell it as 500 – 700 kbps plan!

Their office staff on front desk, their office technical team and their ground technicians are not efficient enough. Only their marketing staff is highly skilled that they keep fetching customers from market for this company by giving false commitments! They don’t pick up phones, they don’t respond to emails and even their Appellate Authority For Public Grievances do not respond to emails sent to them! How worse this can be! Staff working for an internet company, do not respond to the emails sent to them! I am thinking to stop their service once my 3 months of period is over. I am attaching my subscription form as a proof of my registration with them.

It has been almost 6 months since i am using. Yes, for few weeks; it ran well but as soon as i started using a lot, i felt a sudden drop in speed. i have been calling them since 20-25 days, they close complaints without even confirming with customers whether issue is resolved.

Nodal officer, Appellate officer numbers are useless too. They mostly dont pick up the phone. When they pick up; they ask to send screenshot (compulsory) as they dont believe us. They want to see speedtest result. when i said that the speed itself is not good, how can i attach something to email. he asked me to use another internet connection to send attached email 🙂 how funny is that? we have to keep another internet to send them their issue details. wow. then if somehow i managed, still nothing happened. then why the hell did you ask for screenshot?

I sent email by having CC to TRAI but that does not help either. They are so fearless that they dont want to improve service at all. they dont want to give better service.

NEVER EVER BUY – ELSE BE READY TO EXPERIENCE THE WORST SERVICE

Update (Aug 2016): Finally, as Reliance Jio 4G enters into the market; I am out of trouble. I terminated my YouBroadband connection immediately just before 2 days of renewal date. Reliance Jio 4G is great.
