Movie Review of Bang Bang Starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif

Bang Bang Movie ReviewBang Bang is a bollywood hindi movie which is a remake of a hollywood Tom Cruise starrer flick Knight and Day. Bang Bang stars Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and Danny Denzongpa. It has been directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios. Bang Bang shows Hrithik Roshan as a super action hero. Hrithik Roshan plays Rajveer, a man on secret mission and Katrina Kaif plays Harleen, a bank receptionist. This movie has lots of death defying stunts which are done by a hollywood action choreographer Andy Armstrong (Spiderman 2 fame).

This movie’s name should be Rajveer – the Winner and not Bang Bang as this movie shows everything of what Hrithik Roshan is and what he has. This seems more of his launching vehicle than a regular movie of him. They have done that much of good things for him. It seems like this movie is produced by his father Mr Rakesh Roshan and not Fox Star Studio. They have spent that much of money and put that much of efforts that only father can do for his son. Really good for him that somebody is putting so much on him and having so much of faith on him that he will deliver for what they have invested in. Watch him in golden hair. A perfect Indian James Bond. No over acting, no non-sense dialogues. Straight to straight – pure acting. Just Wow.

Chemistry between Hrithik and Katrina is outstanding. We literally fall in love with both of them. They put the screen on fire when they show their love quotient. Action scenes done by Hrithik are all matched with the level of Hollywood action flicks. When i was watching, i had other movies i have watched in the past like Dhoom 3, Kick and many more where action was the primary assets of those movies and i feel that this movie should rank top of all of those other movies. Specially the one on the beach – water action – the whole sequence has been shot so brilliantly and has shown so wonderfully on screen that we feel that we are into that with all of them. Superb! Outstanding piece of work.

The only let down thing were few (not famous) songs kept coming in initial portion of the movie and bullets of enemies not hitting to Hrithik at all. That was the funniest part. Even if he is running on his back or even standing or even Katrina is running towards enemies – none of the bullets him them! How the hell that is ever possible in the world. Are you telling children stories or showing something to us (adults)? How come when a person (trained, deadly enemies) fire on you, you are walking towards them and none of the bullets hit you! It cant be possible in the dreams! But when our action hero fires even a single bullet (rather in front or in a reverse mode), it hits right on target and a person dies on the spot. Even if he hits once with his hand, that person never gets up. Very Bollywoodish. Javed Jaffery doesnt fit the bill (after having him seen in Dhamaal, he is still not accepted as a villain). Danny doesnt fit either. He forces us to believe he is a villain but doesnt much leave impression as a villain (bad choice for both of these characters). Good actors wasted but we dont regret as this movie doesnt belong to them but only to our Superstar young actor of  the country, Hrithik Roshan.

On the whole, this movie has everything – action (full-on), comedy and a bit of emotional drama (father-son) somewhere in the middle and at the end. Very good on entertainment. Must watch. This movie fulfills all our desires towards watching an action packed drama for 2:30 hours of time. Once this watched, we feel satisfied and dont wish to watch anything more than this.

Congratulations to Fox Star Studios for creating a huge action flick for Indian viewers, director Siddharth Anand for making a grand come back, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif for adding another big hit to their list.
