Movie Review:
The name of the movie can be “The Family” as well. It is about a person who is after saving his family from Police. They have mistakenly made a crime and now want to be saved as they are afraid of being in jail. It is a story and hence it works and it is just to be made for entertainment. Ajay Devgn misfits in a middle class husband’s role. Shriya Saran looks stunning in a usual middle class role. Their daughters acted well. Ishita Dutta plays her role well as a victim and criminal (by chance). Tabu enters just before an interval. Her role should be the strongest but as it is a (few) hours of movie, it has to be finished in time. Thus, they never ever think of anybody else as a culprit and always think about Ajay Devgn’s family as criminal. How can they be so sure!

This movie takes a lot of cinematic freedom. Tabu plays a role of an IG of Goa Police like there is nobody else is there above her designation. She always speaks about what she wants and she wants everything NOW and she gets them. Rajat Kapoor is complete wasted as her husband. He just keep speaking few words every now and then but nobody ever listens to him and that’s so funny as being a husband even her wife does not bother to listen! What he is doing, is not mentioned. He just wears a suit and stays with his wife.

First half is too slow and second half is speedy. Director Nishikant Kamat has done a good job but somehow he fails to deliver what might have been done with original Drishyam in Malyalam movie.

We bring nothing with us when it ends. It is just a bit above average movie. May be, over hyped.
