Delhi Auto Expo 2014 New Car Launches with Photos

Maruti CelerioMaruti’s replacement for the A-Star in India comes at a segment that has become highly competitive after the Grand i10’s launch. Presenting Maruti Celerio.

Taigun is based on the Up! front-wheel drive. The Taigun is VW’s answer to the mini SUV segment which is proving to be the popcorn of the automotive industry in places like India.

 

Honda MobilioFor India, the Mobilio will be powered by the City’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine and the 1.5-litre EarthDreams diesel engine. The Mobilio is 4.4 meters in length, has a 185mm ground clearance and a wheelbase of 2,650mm.

 

Chevrolet BeatThe Chevrolet Beat facelift could be launched at the show as changes are mostly cosmetic with the car receiving revised headlamps, bumper, wheels, communication color and a new LED stoplamp integrated on the tailgate.

 

Datsun i2The Datsun I2 will make its global debut in the concept version and Datsun has just revealed a teaser sketch this morning. The I2 will be a sub-compact hatchback competing against the Maruti Alto and the Hyundai Eon.

 

Toyota Corolla Unveiled in June last year, the new Corolla has a 100 mm longer wheelbase than the outgoing car and is wider and longer as well. The new Corolla is a first-time exhibit at the 2014 Auto Expo to be held in Noida next month.

 

Ford KA Concept CarFord’s award winning 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost engine would power the higher variants of the Ka, though the power output of this engine is yet to be confirmed. Believed to be the successor to the Ford Ka.

 

Honda JazzTwo engines are earmarked for India – one petrol and one diesel. The petrol motor is the familiar 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine (which was powering the second generation Jazz in India.

 

Maruti iV4The iV4, or ‘Individuality Vehicle 4×4’, will be a light-weight crossover with one of the ‘lowest CO2 emissions in its class’.  It will come with the second generation 4WD technology, Suzuki refers to as ‘ALLGRIP’.
