Celebrities Launch Cars and More Concept Cars at Delhi Auto Expo 2014

The Auto Expo will open for general public from 7th and continue till 11th February. Organisers are expecting more than 5 lakh visitors during this event. World renowned auto majors will be launching, unveiling and showcasing their products at the expo. A total of 69 unveilings are expected at the event, out of which around 40 took place on Day one.

Celebrities reached the expo venue to launch their brands.

Maruti: Nation’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki unveiled two new concept cars- Ciaz & S Cross SX4. Concept CIAZ comes with a glamorous design and seems compete with the likes of Hyundai Verna and Honda City. Apart from this, Maruti Unveiled SX4 S-CROSS.
Both categories are new for Maruti. Company sources told ABP News that the models will hit the roads within next 1.5-2 years.

Hero MotoCorp: Country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp unveiled two new 100cc bikes, Splendor Pro Classic and Passion TR, which will hit the Indian markets in next two months. Hero also showcased a 620 cc super premium motorbike ‘Hastur’ and two concept bikes ‘SimplEcity’ and ‘iON’.

Hyundai: Hyundai has launched the new Santa Fe at the Auto Expo.
All variants of the new Santa Fe are powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre CRDI engine. The car would have three variants with a starting price of 26.30 lakhs.

Tata Motors: Tata Motors unveiled a concept compact sports utility vehicle Nexon along with another concept car ConnectNext, giving a glimpse of its future direction in terms of technologies. Apart from this the company also displayed its Nano with automatic manual transmission.

Piaggio: The company displayed its new scooter, Vespa S, which will be the next model to debut on the Indian market. Apart from this, company also displayed Vespa 946 and Piaggio Liberty scooters. The brand portfolio of Piaggio also consists of super bikes MOTO GUZZI & APRILIA. These bikes were also displayed.

Honda: Honda displayed its all new Honda Activa 125. The scooter will feature Honda’s patented Combi Braking System and HET technologies for better safety and fuel economy.
Also the company displayed its CBR 650F which will go for local production in 2015.
It will be the highest capacity motorcycle from Honda to be assembled here in India.
The bike will be armed with a 85bhp, 650cc inline 4-cylinder engine with DOHC.

Harley Davidson: Iconic brand Harley launched its cheapest bike in the Indian market.
The company launched the Street 750 in India and priced it at Rs 4.1 lakh.
Based on a brand new platform, the Street 750 uses a liquid cooled V-Twin motor which displaces 749cc.

Renault: French carmaker Renault displayed its Kwid concept. The compact car is only 3.6 metres in length and will run on electric power.
This concept car has a feature known as flying companion which can help you drive through traffic etc.

Honda Cars: Honda Cars India unveiled its mid-side MPV Honda Mobilio and the new 3rd generation Honda Jazz.
