Anna Hazare Begins Indefinite Fast for Jan Lokpal Bill at Ralegan Siddhi

The real hero of the nation is back in the action. Mr Anna Hazare begins indefinite fast for jan lokpal bill from today at ralegan siddhi. It is shame that an old age person, senior citizen of the country still has to fight so hard for our rights. Usually, at this age people either sit at home relaxing in a bed, spending time at temple or going around for evening walk but he is a man who is still struggling to get done something for the people of the country.

Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Tuesday started another indefinite fast from at his village here to press for Jan Lokpal Bill saying that this time it will be a do or die situation. Addressing the media, Anna said that he doesn’t trust the government as it has been repeatedly giving assurances on the bill, but has done nothing to get it passed in the Parliament. He further said this time his fast will go on and it will be a do or die situation.

In the chilly 6 degrees Celsius temperature sweeping Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district, Anna went on his usual morning walk and then started his hunger strike near the Yadavbaba temple in the village, under the banner of his new organisation, Jantantra Morcha. The Jan Lokpal Bill, also referred to as the Citizen’s Ombudsman Bill, is an anti-corruption legislation drafted by civil society activists, seeking appointment of an independent panel to investigate cases of corruption. Anna further said that time has come for the UPA government to deliver on its promise or quit.
